Ingredients
- 5 or 6 lb. beef brisket (flat cut) trimmed
- 3 oz. liquid smoke
- celery salt
- garlic salt
- onion salt
- Worcestershire sauce
- salt and pepper
- 6 oz. barbecue sauce
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 c. water
Directions

1Place brisket in oblong baking dish; sprinkle with liquid smoke and salts.

2Cover and refrigerate overnight.

3When ready to bake, sprinkle with Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper.

4Place foil loosely over meat.

5Cook at 275° for 5 hours.

6Uncover and pour barbecue sauce over meat.

7Cook without foil for another hour.
-
8Remove to platter and let cool before slicing.

9Remove fat from sauce remaining in dish.

10Add flour and water to sauce and stir.

11Cook until sauce thickens.

12Serve sauce hot with meat. Serve with rice or potatoes and tossed green salad.
