- 1 c. diced onion or 1 clove garlic
- 2 Tbsp. salad or olive oil
- 1 c. chopped tomatoes
- 1 c. diced celery
- 1/2 Tbsp. dry mustard
- 1 c. catsup
- 2 c. stock from roast or soup, or water and bouillon cube
- 1 c. green pepper, diced
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Fry the onion or garlic slightly in the oil; add other ingredients and cook slowly for 1 hour.

2Liquid should be reduced about 1/2 and sauce should be well blended.

3Dip all meat except fowl in sauce before roasting or broiling or baste with sauce during roasting either in oven or on outdoor grill.
