- 1 onion
- 2 Tbsp. drippings
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. prepared mustard
- 1/2 c. ketchup
- 1/4 c. chopped celery (optional)
- salt and red pepper to season
- 1 lb. franks
Directions

1Brown onion in drippings.

2Add vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, ketchup, water, celery and seasoning.

3Simmer sauce for 30 minutes.

4Arrange franks in a shallow pan.

5Pour barbecue sauce over and bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
