Barbecued Salted Cod

  • 1 slice of salted fish (approx. 250g)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil, extra virgin
  • 3 garlic cloves, peeled and finely chopped

Directions

    With salted fish you have to place in cold water 24 hours prior to cooking to remove some of the saltiness.

    Change the water 2-3 times in that 24 period.

    Drain the cod well from the water prior to cooking.

    Set up your barbecue.

    And when its the right temperature place the cod on the grill.

    Grill on both sides for 5-10 minutes or until it has become slightly charred on each side and crispy.

    Then remove, place on a plate and using two forks de-bone and shred the cod.

    Drizzle olive oil and add the garlic over the shredded cod.

    You may add more oilve oil and garlic if you wish.

    Serve with a nice piece of crusty bread.
