Ingredients
- 1 loaf bread, any kind, cut into cubes, and allow it to get stale
- 1 stalk celery
- 1 medium onion
- 3 tablespoons bacon grease
- 1 egg
- chicken broth
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2Preheat skillet, adding in 3 tablespoons bacon grease.

3Cut up the celery and onions, chopped into small pieces.

4Add to heated grease.

5Cook for approximately 20 minutes - until celery is soft and onions are translucent.

6Season bread cubes with salt and pepper.

7Crack the egg, and using a fork, break the yoke, mix then add onto the bread cubes.

8Pour the celery and onion mixture over the bread - caution, this will be hot.

9For extra moistness, add chicken broth, a little at a time.

10Texture should be moist, but not too wet.

11Put into a 9 x 13 pan, sprayed with non stick spray.

12Bake for 40 minutes.

13NOTE: for larger amounts, double all ingredients.
