  • 1 c. quick-chopped barley (fine)
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c. almonds
  • 1 pkg. onion soup
  • 2 c. chicken broth
  • 15 oz. can water chestnuts
  • 3 oz. drained mushrooms

Directions

    Heat (saute) barley, margarine and onion until golden.

    Add last 5 ingredients.

    Put in casserole dish and cover.

    Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
