  • 1 cup golden raisin
  • 1 cup currants
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup strong hot tea
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups self-rising flour

Directions

    Mix first 4 ingredients together and leave in bowl overnight.

    Next day add egg and self-rising flour.

    Mix well.

    Pour into greased loaf pan and bake 1 to 1 1/4 hours at 350 .

    Slice when cooled and spread with butter.
