Basic Cream Cheese Pound Cake

- 1 1/2 c. butter, softened
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 3 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 3 c. sifted cake flour
- salt to taste
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions

1Cream butter, cream cheese and sugar in mixer bowl until light and fluffy.

2Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

3Stir in flour, salt and vanilla.

4Spoon into greased tube pan.

5Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours or until cake tests done. Yield:
