- 2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour, slightly rounded
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch, slightly rounded
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Scald 1 1/4 cups milk on stove.

2In a separate bowl, beat egg yolks; gradually stir in sugar, then flour, cornstarch, salt and rest of milk.

3A little milk can be added along with the flour and cornstarch if it gets too thick.

4Stir this into hot milk and bring to a boil.

5Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. Let cool a little and pour into pie shell.
