- 2 cups water or broth
- 1 cup lentils
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 cup quick oats
- 3/4 cup grated cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
- about a cup of spaghetti or tomato sauce
- generous dallop of pesto or various herbs
- salt and pepper
