- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 c. sugar
Directions

1Combine egg whites, cream of tartar and salt.

2Beat till stiff glossy peaks form.

3Meringue should be shiny and moist and all sugar dissolved.

4Spread over bottom and sides.

5(You can make fancy edge with a cake decorator, if you like.)

6Bake in very slow oven at 275 degrees for 1 hour or possibly till light brown and crisp.
