  • 2 c. lightly packed fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 c. olive oil
  • 1/3 c. pine nuts
  • 1 large or 2 small garlic cloves
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese

    Combine first 5 ingredients in a blender, or food processor, and process until smooth.

    At this point, before adding cheese, mixture can be frozen in airtight container and kept for several months.
