  • 1 kg white flour (2.2 pounds)
  • 25 gm yeast fresh (1 oz) or possibly 1/3 oz dry yeast)
  • 20 gm salt (2/3 oz)
  • 6 dl water (2 2/5 c.)

Directions

    Put flour into large bowl.

    Stir yeast with hot water in small bowl.

    (If the water is cool, the yeast won't grow.

    If the water is too warm, the yeast will die.).

    Add in salt.

    Mix with flour and KNEAD!

    Let raise till size doubles.

    Make two loafs and place on cookie sheet.

    Let raise again briefly.

    Bake at middle heat in preheated oven.

    Baking time is 40 to 70 min.
