  • 12 cup flour
  • 1 12 teaspoons baking powder
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons cornmeal
  • 3 tablespoons shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 34 cup milk
  • 1 lb frankfurter

Directions

    Mix together in order given using only 1 cup of flour.

    Roll franks in 1/2 cup flour then dip in batter.

    Fry in deep fat until brown.

    Drain on absorbent paper.
