- 1 egg slightly beaten
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon oil Wesson
- 1 cup flour sifted
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons seasoned salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 3 pounds fryer chicken cut into pieces
- oil for frying
Directions

1Combine egg and milk and oil in a bowl.

2In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper. Add to milk mixture; beat until smooth.

3Dip pieces of chicken in batter; drain 5-10 minutes on rack.

4Fill Dutch oven 1/3 full with oil. Heat to 375 degrees. Cook chicken about 12 minutes. Drain.
