  • 1 c. white waterground cornmeal
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 3 c. milk
  • 3 to 4 beaten eggs
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/8 lb. butter

Directions

    Place cornmeal, sugar and salt in heavy saucepan and add boiling water.

    Add milk, beaten eggs and baking powder.

    Melt butter in casserole and swish to coat container.

    Add butter to saucepan.

    Cook slowly on top of stove.

    When it thickens, put in casserole and bake at 400° to 425° for approximately 25 minutes.
