- 1 c. white waterground cornmeal
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. boiling water
- 3 c. milk
- 3 to 4 beaten eggs
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/8 lb. butter
Directions

1Place cornmeal, sugar and salt in heavy saucepan and add boiling water.

2Add milk, beaten eggs and baking powder.

3Melt butter in casserole and swish to coat container.

4Add butter to saucepan.

5Cook slowly on top of stove.

6When it thickens, put in casserole and bake at 400° to 425° for approximately 25 minutes.
