Bean Soup

Ingredients
- 1 ham bone or leftover ham
- 3 cans Great Northern white beans or navy beans (dried beans may be used)
- 2 peeled and diced potatoes
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 4 carrots, cut in bite size pieces
- 2 celery stalks, diced
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Cook carrots, potatoes, onion and celery until tender.

2Add ham bone and beans (if dried beans are used, cook as usual before adding other ingredients).

3Simmer for 1 hour.

4Water may be added if soup is too thick.

5This can be cooked in the crock-pot. Put everything in crock-pot; let cook for 5 or 6 hours.

6Serve with corn bread.
