Summer Squash With Cheese

  • 3 c. squash, diced
  • 3 Tbsp. butter, melted
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. milk
  • 4 oz. cheese
  • 1/2 c. buttered bread crumbs

Directions

    Boil squash until tender in small amount of water.

    Drain. Make a white sauce using melted butter, flour, salt and milk.

    Add squash to sauce.

    Arrange in a greased casserole alternating layers of squash with thin layers of cheese.

    Sprinkle with bread crumbs.

    Bake in 350° oven for 30 minutes or until bubbly.
