- 1 (16 oz.) pkg. navy beans
- ham bone or pieces of ham
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 to 4 stalks celery, diced
- 6 carrots, grated or chopped
- 1 can tomato soup
- salt and pepper to taste
- 4 qt. water (to start)
Directions

1Wash beans and soak overnight.

2Put beans in large pot; add water and cook about 1 hour.

3Add ham, onion, celery, carrots and soup; salt and pepper to taste.

4Add more water if necessary. Continue cooking until beans are tender.
