- 2 c. navy beans
- 1 ham bone
- 3 qt. water
- 2 c. celery, diced
- 1 c. onion, chopped
- 4 ripe tomatoes or 1 can
- 1 c. potatoes
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Soak beans overnight and drain in a.m.

2Pour beans in saucepan.

3Add ham bone and water.

4Cook slowly until beans are soft.

5Add vegetables and cook until done.

6Put through sieve. Season to taste and add minced parsley.

7Serve very hot with bread fingers.
