Bean Soup

  • 1 Mashes ham bone with meat or 1 country ham bone
  • 1 lb. Great Northern navy beans
  • 1 small onion, chopped very fine
  • 1 small carrot, chopped very fine

Directions

    Soak beans overnight or 1 to 2 hours before cooking.

    Put ham and beans in large cooking pot.

    Cover with water.
  4. 4
    Keep covered with water.

    When beans begin to get soft, add onion and carrot. Let simmer until done.

    Soup can be heated again if you have any left over.
