- 1 Mashes ham bone with meat or 1 country ham bone
- 1 lb. Great Northern navy beans
- 1 small onion, chopped very fine
- 1 small carrot, chopped very fine
Directions

1Soak beans overnight or 1 to 2 hours before cooking.

2Put ham and beans in large cooking pot.

3Cover with water.

4Keep covered with water.

5When beans begin to get soft, add onion and carrot. Let simmer until done.

6Soup can be heated again if you have any left over.
