- 1 lb. pinto beans
- 1 lb. chopped green pepper
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. salad oil
- 1 1/2 lb. chopped onions
- 2 cloves crushed garlic
Directions

1Cook beans as follows:

2Add 6 to 8 cups hot water.

3Bring to a boil 2 minutes.

4Set aside to soak 1 hour.

5Drain beans. Sort beans for any undesirable ones and discard them.

6Put all good beans in pot with 6 cups hot water.

7Boil gently with lid ajar until tender.
