  • 6 lb. beef brisket
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • red wine to cover
  • flour to make gravy
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 can small white cooked onions
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms

Directions

    Place brisket in 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Pour red wine over it and onion, sliced.

    Cook about 6 to 7 hours at 300°, covered, until tender.

    Cool overnight.

    Slice thinly.

    Reserve juice.
