  • 5 medium onions, sliced thin
  • 2 Tbsp. bacon drippings
  • 2 lb. boneless beef chuck, cut in 1/2-inch cubes
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • salt and pepper
  • thyme
  • marjoram
  • 1/2 c. beef bouillon
  • 1 c. dry red wine
  • 1/2 c. fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 c. hot cooked Uncle Ben's converted rice

    In heavy skillet, cook onions in bacon drippings until brown. Remove onions from pan.
