- 1 1/2 lb. stewing beef, in cubes
- 1 c. Burgundy or red wine
- 2 cans consomme soup
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 sliced onion
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. bread crumbs
- 4 carrots (whole)
Directions

1Combine all, except beef and carrots.

2Stir.

3Mixture will be lumpy.

4Add beef and carrots.

5Cook in covered casserole dish at 300° for 2 1/2 to 3 hours until beef is tender.

6Serve with white rice.
