Beef Cups

  • 12 slices sandwich bread (Wonder Bread)
  • 3 tablespoons softened butter
  • 1 14 lbs ground beef or 1 14 lbs sausage
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion, chopped (I'm using green onions)
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 -2 dash Tabasco sauce (optional)
  • 34 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    Butter one side of each slice of Wonder Bread and press each slice butter-side down into the cups of a muffin tin.

    In a medium bowl, mix together the ground beef, egg, onion, cream of mushroom soup, salt and pepper until well blended.

    Add this point add the tabasco sauce if using -- turning up the heat.

    Fill each bread cup with the mixture.

    Sprinkle shredded Cheddar cheese over the tops.

    Bake for 30 minutes or until meat is cooked through.
