Ingredients
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 1/2 to 2 lb. ground beef
- cooking oil
- 2 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. chili powder
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
- 10 to 12 corn tortillas
- 1 lb. cheese, grated
- grated onion
Directions

1Brown onions and beef in oil and set aside.

2Heat 3 tablespoons of oil and flour, stirring until browned.

3Slowly add chili powder mixture, stirring until thickened.

4Add tomato sauce, salt and pepper and simmer about 5 minutes.

5Soften tortillas by dipping in enough hot oil to cover and quickly remove from oil and drain.

6Place some of meat mixture, cheese and diced onions on tortilla.

7Place seam side down in baking dish.

8Cover with remaining sauce and remaining meat, cheese and onion.

9Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
