Ingredients

  • 4 lb. round or flank steak (1-inch thick)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. liquid smoke
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce

Directions

    Partially freeze meat and then slice into 1/8-inch wide and 4-inch long strips.

    Combine other ingredients.

    Mix with beef strips in glass bowl.

    Cover and refrigerate 8 hours.

    Lay in single layers on a broiler pan.

    Bake at 140° to 150° for 12 to 14 hours.

    Blot with paper towel.
