  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 2 pkg. Durkee meat marinade mix
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. liquid smoke
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • brisket

Directions

    Slice brisket 1/4-inch thick and cut in 1 1/2-inch wide and 3-inch long strips.

    Soak in mixture 15 hours.

    Place oven on warm or lowest setting.

    Put toothpick through one end of each piece and hang on oven rack.

    Let dry for about 8 hours or until all moisture is gone.

    For best results, leave oven door open about 1 1/2 inches while drying.
