  • 1 lb beef steak such as sirloin or flank
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 3 T. fresh lime juice
  • 1 T. brown sugar
  • 1T. Soy sauce
  • 1 small jalapeno pepper minced
  • 2 C. lettuce with large leaves for wrapping such as bibb lettuce
  • 1 C. red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 C. english cucumber, matchstick cut
  • 1/2 C. fresh cilantro, torn
  • 1/2 C. shredded carrots
