  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup brown and white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt and pepper
  • 1/2 star anise
  • 2 tablespoons onions, diced
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, diced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon ginger
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
