  • 2 lb. round steak, cut 1/4-inch thick
  • 3 Tbsp. prepared mustard
  • 1/4 c. finely minced onion
  • 4 strips bacon, cut in halves
  • 1 large dill pickle, cut in 8 lengthwise strips
  • 1 (8 oz.) can (1 c.) tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. beef flavor gravy base
  • 1 tsp. brown sugar
  • 1 c. hot water
  • cooking oil
  • seasoned flour

Directions

    Cut meat in 8 rectangular pieces.

    Spread mustard on meat. Sprinkle with onion.

    Top with half strips of bacon and with pickle strips.

    Roll up like jelly roll, tucking in edges. Tie with cord or skewer securely.

    Coat rolls with seasoned flour and brown slowly on all sides in hot oil.
