- 1 to 2 lb. stew meat
- flour
- butter
- Crisco
- 1 (8 oz.) can pieces and stems mushrooms
- potatoes
- carrots
- turnips
- celery
- 1 large onion
- 1 can beef broth
- salt, pepper, garlic salt and celery salt to taste
Directions

1Roll stew meat pieces in flour.

2Brown in heavy skillet or Dutch oven in butter and Crisco.

3Add seasonings, onion, broth, mushrooms, potatoes, carrots, turnips and celery which has been cut into chunks.

4Stir, then add water if necessary.

5Cover and simmer for at least one hour or until done.
