- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1 1/2 lb. stew beef, cubed
- 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 1/2 c. chopped onions
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp. dried thyme, crushed
- 3 c. V-8 juice
- 1 tsp. instant beef bouillon
- few dashes hot sauce
- 2 medium potatoes, cubed
- 1 1/2 c. sliced celery
- 1 1/2 c. carrots, sliced
Directions

1Coat meat with flour and 1 teaspoon salt.

2Brown meat in hot oil.

3Add onions, garlic and thyme.

4Stir in V-8 juice, bouillon, hot sauce and 1 cup water.

5Bring to a boil.

6Simmer 1 1/4 hours or until meat is tender.

7Add vegetables and simmer for 30 minutes more.
