- 2 lb. lean stew meat, cubed
- 2 Tbsp. tomato paste
- 1 tsp. Accent
- 1 can chicken or beef broth
- 3 medium onions, chopped
- 1 c. any other vegetable
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 3 or 4 carrots
Directions

1Trim any excess fat from the meat.

2Combine flour and seasonings.

3Coat the meat with flour.

4Brown in hot oil in heavy kettle.

5Sprinkle any remaining flour over meat.

6Combine tomato paste and beef broth, then pour over meat.

7Braise onions and vegetables in oil.

8Cook slowly until golden.

9Add vegetables to meat mixture.

10Cover and cook slowly until the meat is tender, about 2 or 3 hours.

11Stir occasionally.
