- 1 lb. stew meat (beef cubes)
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1 clove garlic
- pepper
- 1 pkg. Knorr mushroom soup mix
- 1 Tbsp. flour
Directions

1Saute onion until golden; set aside.

2Brown meat in hot oil. Do not crowd.

3Do in two batches if skillet not large enough.

4Put browned meat in pot.

5Cover with cold water; add onion and bring to a boil.

6Simmer for 1 1/2 hours.

7Pepper to taste.

8Mix soup mix with 1 cup cold water and 1 tablespoon flour.

9Add to meat; simmer 1/2 hour.

10Add more water or beef stock if getting too thick.

11Squeeze garlic through garlic press.

12Mix into stew the last 15 minutes.
