- 1 1/2 lb. stewing beef or chuck and soup bone
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1 (No. 2) can Italian style tomatoes
- 1 c. chopped cabbage
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 4 or 5 medium-sized carrots, sliced
- 1 c. onion, chopped
- 1 tsp. salt
- pinch of oregano
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 beef bouillon cube
Directions

1Cover meat; add salt, pepper and bay leaves.

2Let it come to a boil; turn heat down and add celery, onion, carrots and cabbage. Simmer 2 1/2 hours until meat is tender.

3Add tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce and bouillon cube; simmer another 1/2 hour.
