- 2 lb. stew beef
- 2 large onions
- 6 to 8 carrots
- 4 large potatoes
- 1/4 c. celery
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1In Dutch oven, brown stew beef in small amount of oil.

2Add carrots and onions.

3When they are almost brown, pour enough water to cover meat and vegetables.

4Simmer, covered, for 1 hour.

5Mix about 1/4 to 1/2 cup flour in a cup of water.

6Pour this into beef to make gravy.
