Beef Stew In Beer Recipe

- 50 gm Butter, unsalted
- 2 lb Diced topside of beef
- 1/4 tsp Grnd coriander
- 4 x Shallots, diced
- 2 sprg thyme
- 1 3/4 pt Newcastle brown ale
- 2 Tbsp. Flour
- 2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
Directions

1Fry off the shallots in the butter.

2Add in the beef and brown for 4-5 min.

3Add in the flour and cook.

4Add in the coriander and thyme and mustard.

5Add in the beer and cover the meat.

6Simmer gently for 11/2 hrs approximately.

7Remove the meat and keep hot.

8Strain the sauce and serve.
-
9Accompany with sweet potato pie.
