  • 2 lb. beef round or sirloin, cut in thin, narrow 2-inch slices
  • 3 Tbsp. fat
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 13 oz. can mushrooms with broth
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper

    Brown meat in fat.

    Add onions, garlic and celery.

    Cook until golden.

    Stir in flour; add remaining ingredients and mix well. Turn into a 3-quart greased casserole.

    Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours.

    Cover casserole for first hour.

    Serve on noodles or mashed potatoes.
