Ingredients

  • 2 lb. choice round steak, cut into strips
  • 1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
  • 2 c. beef bouillon
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 c. tomato juice
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 c. sour cream

Directions

    Melt margarine in skillet.

    Add meat, onion and mushrooms. Cook and stir until browned.

    Remove from skillet.

    Add 2 tablespoons margarine; stir in flour, then add all other ingredients except sour cream.

    Return meat to skillet and simmer about 1 hour until meat is tender.

    Just before serving, stir in sour cream; heat, but do not boil.

    Serve over hot rice or noodles.
