- 2 lb. lean round steak
- 3 small onions
- 1 to 2 Tbsp. tomato paste
- beef stock
- 2 c. sour cream
- 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms or 1 large can
- soy sauce to taste
- salt and pepper to taste
- flour
Directions

1Cut beef in thinnest possible slices.

2Pound flour, salt and pepper into meat.

3Cut into strips about 3 x 1/2-inch.

4Dice onions and fry slowly until soft and just turning yellow.

5Then add meat and saute until well seared.

6Add tomato paste and enough beef stock to just cover.

7Add soy sauce to taste.

8Simmer until tender. Transfer to top of double boiler and add sour cream and mushrooms. Serve with rice.
