  • 2 lb. sirloin or beef tenderloin
  • small amount flour
  • 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 6 Tbsp. butter, separated
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 can beef bouillon
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp. sherry

Directions

    Saute 1/2 pound fresh mushrooms (sliced) and 1 large onion (chopped) in 3 tablespoons butter. Cut 2 pound sirloin or beef tenderloin in 1/4 to 1/2-inch thick pieces; coat meat in flour and brown in 3 tablespoons butter.

    Add 1 teaspoon salt.

    Dilute to 2 cups, 1 can beef bouillon and add to meat mixture. Simmer 1 1/4 hours, stirring once in a while.

    Add mushrooms and onion mixture and 1 cup sour cream.

    Add 2 tablespoons sherry.
