- 1 1/2 lb. beef for stew
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/4 c. vegetable oil (Crisco)
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. water
Directions

1Dip beef in flour.

2Brown in Crisco oil; add salt.

3Add water; simmer.

4Add more water as needed.

5Add onion.

6Cook until tender. Make gravy.

7Cook a little longer.

8You can add mushrooms.

9Cook rice; drain well.
