Beef Vegetable Stew

- 6 or 8 potatoes
- 2 carrots
- 1/2 head cabbage
- 1 or 2 large onions
- 1 large can tomato juice
- 1 1/2 lb. sirloin tip roast, baked
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- salt and pepper to taste
- okra, if desired
Directions

1Peel and cube potatoes, onions and carrots; shred cabbage.

2Put in large pot and cover with water.

3Cook for awhile, then add roast (cut up), broth and tomato juice.

4Season to taste.

5Simmer for several hours.

6You can add more water if needed.
