- 1 teaspoon cracked pepper
- 3 medium onions
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 12 teaspoon dried basil
- 12 grated lemon, rind of
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 12 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup dry red wine
- 1 cup beef broth
- 12 lb raw mushrooms
- chopped parsley
- 4 carrots
- 4 small potatoes
Directions

1Brown beef lightly in oil.

2Add salt, onions, garlic, basil, lemon peel, and paprika.

3Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.

4Sprinkle flour over beef and mix well.

5Add wine, beef stock, carrots, and simmer for 1 hour.

6Add mushrooms and simmer 15 minutes longer or until beef is tender.
