Ingredients

  • 2 34 cups whole wheat flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 14 cup flax seed (ground)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 12 cup unsalted sunflower seeds
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 12 ounces beer, at room temperature

Directions

    Mix all the dry ingredients.

    Add oil and beer.

    Stir until dough is just mixed.

    Put dough in a greased 9x5x3-inch loaf pan.

    Bake at 375 F for 45 minutes or until nicely browned.

    Remove from oven and let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes.

    Remove from pan to cool some more.
