- 4 pounds chicken kosher or free range is best
- 6 tablespoons spices your choice
- 14 ounces beer

1Preheat oven to 400 degrees

2REMOVE any insides from the chicken

3RINSE the chicken with cold water pat dry.

4RUB the chicken, inside and out with spices.

5Open the beer and drink half of it the punch extra holes on the can.

6Add 2 tbsp of spices inside the beer can.

7PLACE beer can on oven proof pan or dish this allows the chicken to cook indirectly and cathes the juices if you want to make a gravy. ARRANGE chicken on beer can, allow the two legs to form two sides of tripod so the chicken is stable.

8REDUCE oven to 350 degrees after first 30 mins. Best when chicken cooks for about 11/2 - 2 hours

9When chicken is ready carefully remove to a separate platter. Allow to stand for 10 mins.
