  • 1 lb. fresh beets or 1 (16 oz.) can, drained
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 3 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1/2 can (8 1/4 oz.) crushed pineapple
  • 1/4 c. raisins
  • 1 Tbsp. butter

Directions

    In saucepan combine brown sugar, flour and salt.

    Stir in vinegar and 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons water.

    Add undrained pineapple, raisins and butter.

    Cook, stirring constantly, until bubbly.

    Stir in cooked fresh or drained canned beets; heat through.
