  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 stalks celery, diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 12 ounces beer

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 12 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1 bay leaf
  • to taste salt and pepper
